So today (actually, yesterday, at approximately 4 P.M.) marks the beginning of my week off. The bakery where I work is going to be closed for a week of rest and preparation for its second birthday!
I’ve been thinking carefully of how I want to spend my time off. I’m not taking an actual vacation, because Ty has to work. But I’m okay with this, because all I really want is to pursue some things that I don’t usually have time for. Like reading, for example.
I’m also going to practice the fine art of baking pies. I’m being trained in this area at the bakery, and I’m excited. I’m pretty sure I can bake cakes blindfolded now, and I truly enjoy it, but I’ve never really worked with pies, and I love them. So perhaps this week I’ll attempt to whip one up. (And by “whip one up”, I mean spending an afternoon carefully crafting one.)

In other news, I’m in the process of growing my hair out. I got it trimmed last week and finally got some bangs cut. My hair is awfully thick anyway, but at several months unkempt, it was looking truly awful. Another thing on my list of things to do this week: Get new hair product.
All the stuff I have is for short hair, and mine isn’t quite so short anymore.
(Also, my hair is returning to its natural color. I’m debating whether or not to get some highlights put in, but for now, it’s not so bad.)
